Psychotherapy - what is it?
page « 1 2 3 4 5 »
It focuses on the patient’s inner world, her thoughts, feelings, memories, dreams and associations – fleeting, sometimes surprising thoughts and images, which come to the patient’s mind in the course of her conversation with the therapist. The conversation covers also patient’s everyday life – her everyday problems, worries but also joys. The therapist helps the patient to understand – as fully and as deeply as it is possible; her own inner world and how it relates and influences her everyday life. Thanks to this she can deal more effectively with what is happening in her inner as well as outer world.

The psychotherapist does not give advice or recipes.
